Demon Strike

This is concept art for my animated short film "Seren". The project is past the planning stages, and I'm starting now into production, which includes animation, backgrounds, music, and lots of other fun things. A tiny Seren (yes he has wings, no he's not an angel, I'll explain in full at some point) faces off against the dragon-like demons that plague his world. In the distance is the floating island city he calls home.

The demon was drawn and colored in Toonboom's Harmony, their newest animation program that we just got installed at school. It's AWESOME, and I'm looking into getting the home version, Opus Solo. Seren and the clouds were done in Photoshop. The island was modeled in Maya, textured with maps painted in Photoshop. The entire set for the film will be 3D, the characters 2D animation. Should be interesting, I need to have the film finished by this December. I have a lot to do.
