Why stop at a strut? I decided to try for something more difficult, making Perceptor here go from a walk to a run. Not an easy thing to do it turns on how well the transition works is very welcome! Created in Flash.

He has a really pretty design. I like his feet. And his run cycle is great!

Thank you! He was really fun to design, I'm hoping to do more with him in the future :)

That's totally awesome! And the thing that tickles me the most, is the second posts that fall down when he walks! Amazing! x3

Thanks! Yeah like his feet stilts, they were fun to animate!

....what's really freaky is that at times, I run on the balls of my feet...similar to how Percy runs...of course, i'm weird, but still....

Run, Percy, run! :omfg: hahaha

Well, you seem to've solved the problem. I like how how the heels fold in to allow for him to run on his toes. You also changed the hands, I see. They look more solid now. Oh, and there's two of them! Awesome. :D

As for the transition leading into the run, it looks very believable. It's the ending that's a bit jarring; like a stutter in the cycle. Would you be able to make the run a bit longer?

Now, animation isn't my area of study, so I'm probably wrong in saying this, but I wonder if there should be more of that shock-absorption action going on in his pelvis and spine. It's really pronounced in the strut, but seems non-existent in the run. *shrugs*

Hee! I must show this to my friends now.

Ah, well the end jars because it's not actually a cycle, but I decided to find out if I could make it one...and that's turned out to be quite difficult ^_^;; I can make Percy go to a run, but getting him back to a walk? Yikes. Still I'll figure it out, I'll just update this post with the new version :D I'll drop you a note when it's done!

Shock-absorption: The strut I exaggerated on purpose, I'm adding a more normal walk to the whole cycle so he'll go strut-run-walk-strut. Should be fun :)

This is done brilliantly!!

I especially love the way the heel flicks inwards so that he can run on his toes.

Thanks! Yeah it was a lot of fun figuring out how he would move, I honestly wasn't sure he'd be able to run well at all, but amazingly it worked! I'm glad the little details like those heel spikes work :D
